Over the past 3 days, more than 1500 people ventured to the iconic Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco to attend Hub 17, Anaplan’s premier global user conference. Once on the ground, community leaders shared best practices, Anaplan team members engaged with customers, and a wide range of educational sessions were delivered.
Our team at Drop Water was fortunate enough to support this great event by helping Anaplan provide bottled water that had minimal environmental impact yet still maintained convenience and quality when consumed.
Custom designed Anaplan Hub 17 bottles on display in the Expo area
Drop Water machines were placed on-site in the Expo area, where attendees built their preferred drink on-demand by selecting the flavor, caffeine level and temperature they wanted. Their drink was then mixed and bottled inside the vending kiosk in seconds, using filtered tap water from the event’s location into a non-plastic bottle that could be composted.

People loved having water their way with many coming back again and again to stay refreshed, energized and hydrated.
Bottles were placed into compost bins once empty, allowing them to avoid ending up in a landfill or worse — the ocean (like traditional plastic bottles used at similar events).

As local municipal water was used for filling bottles, we avoided transporting all of the water consumed throughout the conference, drastically reducing each drink’s carbon footprint by saving transportation energy.
Hub 17 was a roaring success! Thank you Anaplan for inviting us along.
